Sister
Mary Ann, 76, of Monroe died on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, in Mercy Memorial Hospital, in
Monroe.
She taught for 26 years in Michigan and Florida, including at St. Mary of
Redford in Detroit, and St. Regis in Birmingham.
Sister Mary Ann became a member of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate
Heart of Mary in 1942 and took the name Sister Donatus.
The Detroit native earned a bachelor's degree from Marygrove College in 1955,
a master's degree in education from Wayne State University in 1970 and a master's degree
in religious studies from Barry College in Miami in 1973.
Survivors include two brothers, Raymond Muer and Joseph; two sisters, Theresa
Shaw and Monica Carnell.
