SMR put an ad in the MI Catholic years ago, and Roman (Godzak), who was working on his Master Degree in some sort of archivist area of study, answered the ad for someone to create a written history of the parish.  Roman wrote the history as his thesis and is now the
Archdiocese of Detroit Archivist.
